YOUTH PROGRAMS

Children are by nature action-oriented and that’s why we have lots of activities on our calendar.

The youth of ORLC are divided into three youth groups:

• KIC (Kids in Christ) Group consists of youth 1st thru 6th grade
• Junior Youth are those enrolled in 7th and 8th grade
• Senior Youth are grades 9-12

Each group has the opportunity to participate in a monthly activity scheduled just for them. Some of these include an invitation to the congregation and local community to join us.

Special events incude a summer church camp for those who have completed grades 4-8.

The Senior Youth attend 3 separate triennial events:

• LCMS National Youth Gathering
• Glorybound (a Texas LCMS youth gathering)
• Mission Trip

Their mission work has impacted people in our congregation, in our community, in other states and in other countries. The youth groups have several fundraisers each year to help defray the costs of these trips.
